Dexter Stardust: Adventures In Outer Space (2022)

This looks a little cheap but got 'solid and charming' type reviews...

Okay, yeah, predictably from the name and the screenshots, this one is bland and clunky in every way. An idle-point-and-clicker with pop ups every time you pick something up or get a new objective and jokes aimed at six year olds who have played Monkey Island. A bit of a shame, I was hoping this would have a kind of 'Robert Rodriguez does Futurama' vibe, but despite the Hispanic voice actors having apparently "co-created" the characters, as far as I can tell from a quick google this game was written by a White American who fills it with Hispanic characters who love tacos and wear sombreros (and yet the lead is called Dexter!). As for the Futurama aspect, well it's got 'useless manchild' and 'scolding competent woman' as the leads, I guess.
I suppose one good thing I can say about it is that they put a lot of animation and cutscenes in there, which adds production value.

Sidenote: it's funny how playing games over the past few years it's clear to see when Adventure Creator became popular - you can sniff out the standard AC set-ups just as easily as the AGS ones!

Rating: bland and clunky
