A weak re-run of the first film. All the same jokes and plot points redone with slight changes (another battle with lots of cameos and even sillier weapons! Baxter saves Ron from a shark instead of a bear! The team are shocked by working with black people instead of women!). The humour feels overdone here - every joke is redundantly commented on by another character. Perhaps it was the same in the first film and just lacks freshness now, but it feels overused here. The addition of some lazy Fox News/Rupert Murdoch satire and tired dramatic irony derived from characters in the past not knowing what the audience does about the present doesn't help.
Also, it has a Kanye West cameo, so fuck this film.
