Wonderful adaptation. The 3D was really well done and added a lot. It was surprisingly long (127 mins) but for me this helped convey how long Pi is at sea without getting boring (there was maybe five minutes towards the end of that main section where it dragged a little). It looked gorgeous, the animals are really well done and the direction is fantastic. It takes a while to get Pi to the sea, but even that stuff is all entertaining in a whimsical, Amelie kind of way.
